Full disclosure: While the Friends of Timbercrest does have a federal ID number and its own bank account, it is not a non-profit organization. Your contributions to FOT may not be deductible for tax purposes. If you still want to contribute in this way, you may:
  • Contribute by mail: Make checks payable to Friends of Timbercrest and mail to Friends of Timbercrest, c/o Jennifer Schlick, 35 Marvin Avenue, Lakewood, NY 14750.

2. Donate through Girl Scouts of Western New York

Picture
The Girl Scouts of Western New York is a registered non-profit. Your donations to GSWNY may be deductible for tax purposes. You can designate that your donation be used for Camp Timbercrest in general, or for specific projects we may have in place. When you make your donation by mail or online, be sure to indicate how you want to designate your donation. (See list below.)

  • Donate by mail: Make checks payable to GSWNY. Mail to Girl Scouts of Western New York, Buffalo Service Center, 4433 Genesee St., Suite 101, Buffalo, NY 14225.
  • Donate online: There is a question on the donation form "Any additional information you'd like to share about your designation." Type your designation in that box (See list below). CLICK HERE to go to the donation form.

Phrases to use when you designate your funds:
  • Timbercrest Capital Reserve Fund: Money from this fund is applied to large capital improvements at camp. For example, in 2019, the capital improvement list included an updated water filtration system, a concrete floor in the pump house, replacement of roofs on the cabin-tents, improvements at the horse program area, and much more. These projects are determined and executed by the Girl Scouts of Western New York.
  • Friends of Timbercrest Project Fund: Money from this fund will be used for projects suggested by the Friends of Timbercrest, and approved by Girl Scouts of Western New York. NOTE: if this fund grows beyond our current projects, the group may choose to transfer sums to the Timbercrest Reserve Fund or wherever it is needed.

3. Donate through Chautauqua Region Community Foundation

Girl Scouts of Western New York Maintenance Fund
Established in 2019 by former Timbercrest Director Joanne Nelson, this fund will provide annual income to the Girl Scouts of Western New York for outdoor maintenance or enhancements at the Jamestown Service Center on Horton Road and/or Camp Timbercrest in Randolph.
