Build a Bridge Campaign

Build a Bridge Campaign

The Lake Trail had fallen into disuse. Bridges were broken and/or missing.

At the 50th anniversary celebration of residence camp at Timbercrest held in July 2017, FOT launched its first fundraising campaign - the "Build a Bridge" campaign - to raise funds for replacing bridges and restoring the trail.

The awesome, generous Friends of Timbercrest raised $4,739 that was used to purchase materials for several bridges and puncheons. They later donated many hours of labor to install them.

We are proud to report that the trail is fully walk-able again! While we continue to make improvements and add features at our spring and fall work weekends, you can easily walk around the lake and not get too wet or muddy.

The fundraising campaign for bridges on the Lake Trail is now closed.
